College Senate

Student activities are coordinated by an elected Students’ Union that functions as per the norms determined by the University. The college has a Chairman, a Vice Chairman, a General Secretary, a Magazine Editor, two Lady Representatives, one Representative to the University Union, and class representatives, elected through secret ballot from among the students of the college. The tenure of each college union is till 31 March every year. The college union’s regular activities include conduct of the College Arts Festival, the selection of participants in the University Youth Festival and the organization of various seminars and other student oriented extracurricular activities of the college. Festivals like Onam and Christmas are also celebrated in the college under the leadership of college Union members. The activities of the student union are devised to instruct the students in basic democratic civic behaviour.
