About the Department

   The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication  established in the year 2023. The department promote academic excellence while imparting state of art technology and training in the discipline of Journalism and Mass Communication  at the under graduate level. The specialized UG programme of the department is structured in Career Related CBCSS system. The B.A JMC programme includes Journalism and Media Studies, Visual Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, Mass Media Research, Online Journalism and allied areas along with specific thrust on language studies through complementary courses. The programme gives theoretical as well as practical inputs to Mass Communication students in print and visual media through newspaper production, production of short films, Public Service Advertisements, documentaries and news bulletin production.
